Alexis finally did it!!

And it's kinda my fault and it's not that she mastered the potty.

She finally did something that I had been dreading would happen. Andrew did it when he was little and it was easy to fix, but with Alexis, people are going to notice.

Have you guessed what I'm talking about? Here is a hint: Involves a pair of scissors.

If you guessed that Miss Alexis gave herself a haircut, then your right, she did. And a pretty good one at that. Right in the middle of her bangs, in a big upside down V pattern. No way to really fix it, except to pull some of her hair from the back of her head forward and trim it to look like her bangs. That is what the girl said at the hair place said. Hopefully her bangs will grow back quickly before her baby brother gets here in August. (More family portraits) Here are some pictures:

No way we can shave her head like we did Andrew when he gave himself the same kind of haircut. At least we got the family portraits done before she did this. =)

If you are wonder how she got a pair of scissors, it was because I left the gate down going into the kitchen and I left a pair scissors on the counter by the sink. OOOPPPSSSS!!!!!!!!

PS. Roland finally felt Alexander move. Felt two kicks. Now everyone here as felt the baby move, except Alexis but I don't think she'd understand what she was feeling if she felt him move in the first place.

Happy (Belated) Easter!

Happy Easter everyone. OK I know Easter has come and gone but better late than never. (this one is kinda of long)

The Saturday before Easter Sunday we went up to Nana and Poppy's to see Sheldon, Renee and Pierce. Then the kids got to do some Easter egg hunting. I had to tell Andrew that he couldn't find all the eggs that were hidden. Andrew was actually pretty good. He pointed some out to Alexis so she could find some and he made sure that she picked up the ones that fell out of her basket. She kept running or turning around to fast and the eggs would come flying out. She just thought she found more eggs. Here are some pictures and for the life of me, I couldn't get them to look at me:

Here are the kids opening the eggs. Not all the eggs had candy in them. (Thank God and Nana!) One did have ants in it, kinda freaked Andrew out when he opened it. I threw out that piece of candy.

Alexis and Pierce. Of course they were too busy to look at me.

Andrew and Alexis did get some Easter Egg baskets from the Easter Bunny:

BUT we didn't hunt for eggs that day since it rained in the morning, but at least it warmed up during the day. Saturday a cold front moved in and it wasn't that cold here in San Antonio, but when you got up to Pipe Creek it was cold and windy and Renee and I both dressed our kids and ourselves in summer clothing. (at least everyone wore jackets) Who would of thought it was going to be cold in April?!? Where was the summer like temperatures? Oh yeah, that was Sunday. That's Texas weather for you.

Baby Alexander update:
I had my appointment just this last Thursday and everything is going fine (except the for the heartburn and sometimes trouble sleeping). I don't think I've gained much weight since I found out I was pregnant, but I'm sure that will change. I sure do feel a lot heavier with this pregnancy. Good thing this one is the last or maybe it isn't. JUST KIDDING to everyone!

Kids update:
Andrew is doing a wonderful job at school. He has a new friend and he just live right up our street on the corner. I do know the boys name, but I wouldn't know where to start to spell it right. It is a very unique name. The little boy has a little sister who is two years old. AND here is something else that Roland found interesting, the mother is expecting in August just like me, but she is expecting twins, a boy and girl!
Alexis is starting to do potty training, but she has it a little backwards. She goes potty in her diaper, then she comes and tells me "potty" meaning she wants to sit on her potty, but she doesn't do anything but hey it's a start. And boy is she such a drama queen. The other day after a bath, she is standing there naked wrapped in towel and she pees onto the floor and she starts screaming. You'd think she broke an arm or something. (and of course I'm laughing, I'm sure that doesn't help, and I haven't figured out why I find it so funny, it's happened twice to her)And if she gets something on her that she can't get off, she starts screaming again.

Family update:
Our family members will happy to know that we finally got some family portraits. They came out really great. By the time we get them in two weeks, I should be getting Andrew's school portraits. So in the next couple to three weeks, start watching your mailboxes.

Work update:
Well, my hours did get cut. I no longer have to work on Friday's, since the Friday before last; week before Good Friday. BUT things have changed since then. I learned as of this past Monday that Zeke (the other Admin. Asst) quit as of that last Friday. Well, the Monday he told me, I was at my breaking point. (Stupid pregnancy hormones) As soon as he told me, I just break out crying. I know Zeke felt bad, he thought that his news about him quitting was good news for me, since I would be able to come back to work on Friday's. I told him his news just the breaking point for me that morning. I knew why he was quitting. I did talk to my bosses about everything that was happening and they were surprised that I didn't want to go home that day, but I did request for a vacation before Zeke left. They said that was fine, so I took off the rest of the week, but I'm already thinking of going back on Friday, but I will wait and see. My hours won't change since they can only afford me at part-time, but they are thinking of hiring someone to come in the afternoon after I leave. I will be going back to work on Friday's after the Battle of Flowers holiday, since I don't have a sitter for that day.

AND that is about it for now.

Fun day at the Park

We had a fun day at the park today with Nana and Poppy. We ate some pizza and then the kids went off to play on the play ground. Alexis finally went down the slide that is in a twist. All I see is her go down it and then see her feet go up in the air when she gets close to the bottom. Roland was there to catch her. I thought she would have freaked out but she didn't. She actually walked away smiling, but she didn't go down that slide again. She went down another. Here she is going down one:

Here is Andrew: this is the slide that has the twist.

Here are some other pictures just at the park:

Doesn't the shirt say it all about her?

And one I love the most:

I can't believe that they both have decent smiles for a change. =)

Baby Alexander update:
Only nineteen more weeks to go. He loves to kick and punch. Alexis fell asleep on me today and Alexander just started kicking up a storm. Guess he didn't want his big sister laying on him or me. I went and put her on my bed. As soon as I go back to seat, Gizmo comes and gets on my stomach. Guess who starts kicking up a storm again? Gizmo didn't stay on my stomach for very long.
Everything is still going great accept for the heartburn. Yep, that has started up again, but this time it's not so bad, but I'm only 5 months along. We'll see how bad it gets before he gets here. I have doctor's appointment this week. Will fill everyone on it later.

It's an ALIEN....no it's just Alexander.

Well here are the first official pictures of Alexander before his official arrival.

If that isn't alien looking, then I don't know what is.
Just kidding, that's just Alexander looking at us and waving.
How cute is that?!

This is the side view of him.

This would be the picture of his butt, legs and his feet crossed.

Can you guess what you are looking at?
If you guessed a foot, you are correct.

AND MY FAVORITE:

This is what Andrew said when he saw this: "that is the baby sticking it's tongue out at us".
In fact it's the turtle sign.

Well I'm half way there. 20 more weeks to go. I already feel him kicking. Except for when I want for the kids or for Roland to feel. He's active in the morning when I'm at work. And after lunch is when I don't really want to get up and move around. My stomach just feels really contracted. No, I'm not having contractions, just contracted and really tight.
Well that is about it for now. Will give more baby updates when I get closer to my due date.

It's Official

It's official.. it's a BOY!!! We got our sonogram today. Both Andrew and Alexis got to go with us. Andrew thought it was neat. He thought the turtle sign we saw was the baby sticking it's tongue out at us. LOL We have decided not to tell him what it really was. We'll wait until he's a little older. Everything looks great except the baby is little big (by four days). I just told the doctor that "then the baby will by born on my sister's birthday, Aug. 11th instead of the 14th". She said "babies comes when they want" I laugh and said "I know.", but if the baby comes on the 11th, it will be a lot easier to remember birthday's. =)

I think we have decided on a name, it's most likely going to be Roland Alexander. But Roland is considering the name Matthew Alexander. Roland is determined that the baby will not have four names (like what I was considering: Roland Matthew Alexander Blackwell.)

The baby has finally shifted off my sciatic nerve. Alex was pressing on nerve on they right side. DAMN did it hurt a lot. Kinda sucked when I was at work. I couldn't run to the phone when the it rang when I was at the copier. I had to be careful when I did pivots. Now I just try to turn my whole body in alignment instead of pivoting. Now occasionally my butt muscle just hurts, like it's sore from doing some exercise, but that a lot better than limping in pain and keeping curse word from coming out of mouth.

Well that is about it. I do have sonogram pictures, I'll see if I can get them on disk, I just don't know how well the pictures will come out.

The pirate's have invaded the Blackwell house!!!

Aren't they cutest littlest pirates you've seen?

PS Wednesday we'll find out the sex of the baby!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!! Yes, it's my birthday. I'm 33 today. What else is there to say? Nothing much. For my birthday, Roland got me a set of really nice jewelry. And he knew what I wanted too. This past Tuesday we went to the Shops at La Cantera. The really nice looking mall over by 1604 and I-10. I hit some kind a critter (think it was a coyote) with my car on the way there, but it did get up and run away. Roland glasses broke and the only one hour place he could find was at this mall. It's really nice, looks like a small town. Since we had to wait for the glasses to be made, we went and looked around. Very nice shops and it's not that crowded when you go past 7 p.m. That was a plus. Andrew and Alexis could just run around and ahead of us and I could still see them. The kids had a blast. We only went into a couple of shops. One was were you make teddy bears (forgot the name of the store) It was a pretty cute store. We thought of letting the kids do it, but I wanted an outfit that you could dress the teddy bear in, but they didn't have it. (Texas Aggie outfit, but they did have Spurs outfit). Found some outfits that I thought Sheldon would like: A police uniform and an Army one. =) The other store was a jewelry store (of course!) I found two pieces of jewelry I liked. One was like over $800 dollars (that was without the discount they were having) I said "I don't think so" but the ring was more for an anniversary than anything. Roland said maybe for our 10 year would be good. He could save up for that ring. The second was this ring. I found I picture of it, but the one Roland bought me was in gold: (couldn't find a picture of one in gold)

Here is the necklace:

The earrings look like the necklace and they dangle. I won't wear the earring as much as I do as my little ones I wear all the time, I'm afraid they'll break apart. I will only wear them on special occasion, like tomorrow when we meet Nana and Poppy at Applebee's tomorrow. (Love the small ribs, think they're called riblets. A co-worker of mine said they came from rabbits. I laughed and hit him as well for that comment.)
We got turned around at the mall or at least I did when leaving for the car. I couldn't remember where I parked the car. (my bad) Should have taken a left instead of right when we came across the cross section, but we finally found the right parking lot. At least I remembered at what light pole I parked at. Roland went back the next day and bought the jewelry for my birthday. I wanted my birthday gift before Saturday. Which I did. Another thing I look forward to on my birthday is Ken and Patty (my brother and his wife) calling me and singing Happy Birthday to me over the phone. I missed it since I was in church having bible study, but I did listen to it when I got home. It always makes me SMILE!!! =) Thanks you guys!! Love and miss you guys! See you whenever you come into town. Well that is it for this year. Time for bed. I may still be the baby of my family, but I certainly don't feel like the baby anymore. Miss those days of me being a brat to my older siblings. Oh wait a minute, I'm still the brat. I don't think I'll every grow out of that! HA!!! Love to all my siblings, my mother, to Beth, who takes care of her and to everyone else. Night Night!

Doctor's Appt. and Kid Update

Well I had my second doctor's appt. today. The baby's heartbeat is at 157 beats per minute. Extremely good. Next month we get to find out the sex of the baby. (Hurray!) Everything that is happening to me is expected. The extreme dry lips (drink more water she says, I've been drinking more water than I have to and have to pee every 30 minutes and the baby isn't even pressing on my bladder yet.) The headaches (more than ever). Being tired (that was to be expected). And now sometimes blurry vision, things just get a little fuzzy, but I'm not getting dizzy (doc said that is because I'm tired) but she said everything that is happening is ok. I don't remember this in my first two pregnancies.

As for the kids, they got to go back to school today (Alexis - home daycare center). They were very happy about it. I hope they are finally over everything that is out there they catch.

Sick Children =(

Well it's that time of year for children to get sick. Andrew and Alexis are both sick. Andrew has Strep and fever. Alexis has the beginnings for thrush but not full blown thrush. It could be caused by her pacifier (yes, she still has them, my fault, but we have taken them away) but the doctor said it is could be caused by her using her inhaler of albuterol (for her coughing). All she has to do is drink water after every treatment, but just in case I still have to bleach everything she eats and drinks from. I do have to watch Alexis though, since Strep is contagious, she might catch it. She already has fluid in her ear, but its not infected. By my luck, it will get infected next week.

I do have a doctor's appointments for a baby check up. I will update everyone on that.

1st Doctor's Appt & more

Well, I had my 1st doctor's appointment. It's official, I'm pregnant. Well that is how the doctor put it.

She's come in the room and tells me that they were going to make this pregnancy official. I said "Like the pregnancy test, the nausea I'm having, and sore breast didn't make it official?" The doctor's wants to do a ultrasound (this ultrasound is completely different than having one the regular way, if you don't know what I mean e-mail me and I'll tell you, I just don't feel comfortable posting it on my blog), so the picture shows the baby and it's only one (Hurray! Had a dream that I had twins and my previous wish of having twins didn't come true. Yes at one time I wanted twins, a boy and a girl.) The baby has a good heartbeat and everything looks normal. Tomorrow I go and get some more testing done. At least I only work half day on Friday, but that does cut into my nap time =(

My next doctors appointment is in February and the one in March, we will get the know the sex of the baby. Roland and I want another boy. I have been thinking of names, but Roland really wants to use the name we had chosen before we knew we were having Miss Alexis. The name we were thinking of (if it is a boy) is Roland Alexander Blackwell (Yes, another 'A' name). We're think of shortening it to 'Lex' or 'Xander'. I want to add the name Matthew to it as well (right after the first name), but I think Roland going to fight me on that. He wants to know why I want to use the name Matthew. Why Not? I don't think there is anything wrong with the name Matthew.
And if we have another girl, we haven't even started looking into names. I would really like to look at both our family's tree. Anybody got one ? I would just like to get an idea on names.

Here are some Christmas Pictures:

This picture was taking up at Nana & Poppy's house.

Ha! I guess I should have fixed my pictures first, then posted. But I have the perfect excuse:

I'm tired, nausea, boobs hurt, head hurts - oh yeah - The JOYS of being pregnant. NOT!!

I will post more Christmas Pics later.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year to all of my family and friends. I hope your New Year was nice. Mine was. My children were up at Nana and Poppy's this year. They got to stay out in the trailer. Andrew has been bugging Nana and Poppy to stay out in the trailer or as Andrew put it "camping". Roland and I didn't do much on New Year Eve's. We went out to dinner, rented some movies and went to bed at 10 pm. BUT then at 2:15 am, things got kind of noisy. At first I thought there were some dogs in my backyard, but the barking was coming from the front. At least two dogs were barking at my outdoor cats that sleep by the front door. So I just slammed my hands on the door and that scared them away. Roland was up, but he was in the computer room, playing WOW. (he couldn't sleep, since he had a lot of caffeine that day). He comes out with a sword. Yes a real sword. At first he thought someone was trying to break in the house. I told him "it's just me; trying to scare off some dogs." I go and look out the window in my bedroom and see two big dogs still in front yard. Roland looks and notices that they are the dogs that live up the street and that they are friendly dogs. They must have forced open the gate. I don't care I just want to go back to bed. I look one more time and now there are three dogs, not two. Oh well. I go back to bed. 10 minutes later the dogs are back, barking again at my front door. This time I open it, and two take off and the other one stays and looks like a puppy, a big puppy. I told to go home and that one takes off as well. I go back to bed, but the dogs come back again, barking. Roland goes to the door this time, I get pisses off, get dressed and go to the neighbor's house to tell them their dogs are out. But guess what, they are not at home. FIGURES!! The dogs are friendly; they came and greeted me on the way to the neighbor's house and they licked me and the puppy jumped on me, but it did obey me and I said "off". I walked back home and I finally did get a good look at the dogs; One is a Labrador, with long hair and somewhat wavy. The second was a Rottweiler. And the third looked like pit bull. I swear it could have been one of Peleon's (Beth's dog) puppies. It had the same markings as Homer (Beth's other dog). After I told the dogs to leave, they did leave, but I do know they did come back, but I think my outdoor cats took off. Since all I could hear at the door was sniffing. That was my New Year's Day, just way to early in the morning.

If haven't noticed; I have put up a pregnancy calculator. YES, I am pregnant. This makes baby #3 for us. My first doctor appt. is in January, when I'm about 10 weeks along. I will do a post on that appt. Roland and I want another boy, Andrew wants a big brother and Alexis, she just points to my tummy when I ask "where's the baby?", but then she picks up her puppy and calls it "baby". This pregnancy is going all right. Just extremely sore breast, more sore than my first two pregnancy, and only a little morning sickness. The only thing I'm really craving right now is water and milk, but I watch how much milk I drink, so I don't get sick.

I have tons of pictures to post, but I need to upload them on my computer and sort through them. I will post Christmas pictures a little later.

PS. This post corrects my previous posting in Thanks for Thanksgiving. Steven's dog name is not Sasha, it's Sheeba. I think that is how Steven spells it.

Thanks for Thanksgiving

My Thanksgiving was wonderful this year. I got to spend it with my family and Roland's parents. I do wish that Grandmother was here this year, but she couldn't make. Doctor's appt.
Well Roland, Me, the kids and Nana and Poppy spent it over at my sisters house. It was fun, my kids just running around. Andrew checking out Steven's new puppy, Sasha and having fun going up and down the stairs. Alexis just was running back in forth from the living room to the kitchen. She was wearing her sandals which make noise on the kitchen floor. She loves wearing my black flats in kitchen, since their so big on her feet. They go "clack, clack, clack, clack" really loud. If she's wearing them in the kitchen, and I'm in master bedroom, I know where she is. She really loves to do that in the morning when I'm still sleeping.

Here are some pictures:

Left to Right:
Cathy, my sister friend, my big brother Danny, Nana

My mother, Lucille and Alexis. She's getting a present from my mother, early this year.

(Yes, my mother's name is Lucille. As well as Roland's mother. Alexis's middle name is after both grandmothers and it's spelled like nana's name.)

Left to Right:

Steven, my nephew, Andrew (showing off his gift from my mother) and my mother.

The head in the picture is of Beth. She is my mother's caretaker. And my family just sort of adopted Beth and she's mom's favorite daughter. Me and Dee don't mind a one bit =)

Of course, I can't forget to have a picture of Miss Alexis smiling at me with a camera. Would you believe that when I want her to pose for me, she tells me "NO!" and runs away or pouts at me.

This is Peleon. This is Beth's pit bull mix. She has two other pit bull mixes at mom's house, but this one is a mamma's girl. Yes she has pit bull mixes at my mother house and they are the sweetest dogs you could come across. I trust Peleon with my children, Peleon loves to lick to the kids, hmmmm sounds like Nana and Poppy's dog, Annie.
Peleon as a had a litter of puppies at Mom's house. Beth kept only one puppy. WE thought about keeping one, but Roland didn't like the one I chose and Roland wanted the one Beth kept. I call her Cinnie, short for Cinnamon, but her name is in Spanish, but I have no idea what it is or how to pronounce it. (I don't even know if I'm spelling Peleon right)
The other is Homer, would you believe he is the only dog I know that doesn't eat human food. Not even a french fry! Sometimes I don't think he's a dog at all.
Yes Peleon is wearing a Longhorn shirt. My family likes and roots for the Longhorns. Don't worry Blackwell Family. I could care less who likes who, but I do sometimes egg Roland on about maybe the kids going to UT, but not much, since Roland has told Andrew that he doesn't get to decide on which college he's going to. It's Aggie's all the way.

Nana using Alexis's puppy to kiss Alexis.
Alexis just thought that was funny. So did everyone else watching.

Left to Right:

Steven, Dee, my sister and Danny.

Just the family sitting outside watching the kids and the dogs play.

That is Steven's puppy Sasha.
She just wants some attention and food.

Peleon and Sasha playing. Goofy dogs.
Would you believe that Sasha didn't like Danny at ALL. She'd just bark and bark at Danny. Guess Sasha knew that Danny is a cat person.

Cathy playing one of Alexis's favorite game: "Tickle me if you can"

The only family you don't see is my other brother, Ken and his wife Patty. Patty is allergic to cats and we all have cats in our houses, but we will see them at Christmas Time. Can't wait to see them.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!! Andrew and Alexis had a blast trick or treating. We only did two streets, but if we push Alexis to hard, she just wants to be carried. She is so heavy. I'm afraid I might re-fracture my wrist if I keep on carrying her. (She only wants to be carried to certain spots and certain times of the day) Everybody said Andrew's costume was scary and Alexis was just so CUTE! Here are some pictures:

Sorry, we couldn't get Alexis to stand next to Andrew, every time he tried, she would get a little upset. (Do you blame her?), but she wasn't as scared as I thought she'd be. She didn't freak out when Andrew had the costume on, she just didn't get close to him.

SUPER GIRL
Look we got her to smile. Want to know how we did it? We tickled Andrew.
Any torcher we inflict on her brother always makes her smile. =)

Just the kids playing.

Just the boys, I couldn't get any of the girls to get in the pictures.
Alan is the one in the other mask, he was GhostRider.
(I can't remember the names of the other one's)

UP, UP and AWAY!!!

OR MAYBE NOT! FOOLED YOU!!

She wouldn't share any of her cake with Daddy.

She did love Alan's swing, it's just her size, she could get up on to the swing all by herself, HOWEVER she just didn't like me taking a picture of her.

This couple thought Alexis was so adorable. She went to them twice to get comforted when she got upset. Alexis was upset since we told her it was time to get off the swing and time to go home. This couple had the little boy in the blue costume, he kept telling his wife they needed to try for another one: a girl, just like Alexis.

OH and here is Andrew and Alexis without their costumes on, just in Halloween shirts:
AND if you're wondering about Andrew's hair, it was crazy hair day at school:

He wanted it spiky, so the night before I put some mousse in his hair and at first he wanted his hair in rubber bands, just two of them. I told him he'd look like a girl, but he didn't care until he went to the mirror and saw his hair. He comes back screaming "I look like a girl!", pulling out the rubber bands. I just laughed and said "I told you so."

Don't YOU sit in my Spot!!

HA, HA stole mommy's sitting spot. That is a favorite game to play in this house. If you get up from where you are sitting, you'll lose it. The game is that if you were sitting in your "spot" or just where you happen to be sitting at the time and get up, you just might happen to lose it. Sometimes I'm in the master bedroom watching TV on my couch, and I get up to go the kitchen for a drink. Well the kids happen to be in the living room and they see me going in the kitchen. Andrew and Alexis won't do anything until I walk out of the kitchen but as soon as I do, they start running (and giggling along the way) in front of me and RUN to the bedroom. I know where they are going, my couch, (my SPOT on the couch, you know, a favorite spot- like where you want to sit or what side of the bed you want to sleep on). Along the way to the bedroom, I keep saying, "You better not sit in my spot" over and over again. Both the kids are screaming (like something or someone is chasing them), laughing or just taunting you saying, "I'm going to sit in your spot" (Just Andrew since Miss Alexis can't speak very well, but you know what her little scream means). That is one of the favorite game is in the house is. Here are a couple of picture of the kid's in my spot:

Can't you tell they're just excited about being in my spot!!

Let's just say I think I have the GOOFIEST kids in the world, BUT man do I love it!!!!!
